When Professor Randy Pausch was dying of cancer, he decided to give a “last lecture” on what he gleaned from his life experiences that became an internet sensation and later a book. Philosophy professor Tim Dunn and English professor Ellyn Lem taught that book in their interdisciplinary class on death and dying. As the campus is now coming to the end of its life, Dunn and Lem will use the “tools” of their discipline to give perspective on coming to terms with loss and inspiration for carrying on amid adversity with hope and appreciation.
