The Black Child Development Institute of Wisconsin (BCDI-WI) is thrilled to announce its Inaugural Expansion Gala, taking place on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at 5:00 PM at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. This gala marks a significant milestone as BCDI-WI expands its reach from Milwaukee to encompass all of Wisconsin, reaffirming its commitment to empowering and uplifting Black children and families statewide.
The gala promises to be a night of celebration, inspiration, and unity, as BCDI-WI honors its rich history of service and looks forward to the future impact it will make on communities throughout Wisconsin. Guests can expect powerful speeches, captivating performances, and the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals dedicated to making a difference.
Formal African attire is encouraged as attendees come together to commemorate this historic moment in style. The evening will also feature a showcase of BCDI-WI’s eight essential outcomes, envisioning a world where every Black child is born at a healthy weight, lives and plays in a safe community, is seen as a child, breathes clean air and drinks clean water, has books and toys that reflect who they are and can be, hangs out on a safe and appropriate internet, enjoys meals with vegetables, and attends a school that affirms and expands them.
