The RiverBEAST Ride is a bike scramble on Milwaukee’s East Side. Riders are provided a list of checkpoints at the start of the ride, which signals the start of the ride. We’re going all digital with this, so the list of checkpoints is provided through a webapp which includes hyperlinks to google map pins, photos of the checkpoint, and an easy way for riders to provide a selfie as evidence that each checkpoint was reached. Smart phone required! If riders can figure out an ideal route between checkpoints, the total distance covered should be ~15 miles. It sounds easy, until I mention that not all checkpoints can be reached on flat pavement!
