We’ll be celebrating the work our 2025-2026 Emerging Artist Residents have accomplished this October. Ellie Hogan and Sarah Lothian’s exhibition, Re:Connect, will be on view from Sept. 30 – Oct. 30, 2026 at the House of RAD Gallery. Re:Connect brings together two artists whose practices explore connection as a fundamental part of how we understand ourselves, our histories, and the world around us. Hogan traces the threads of genealogy, memory, migration, and place, reconstructing fragments of personal and collective histories, while embracing the gaps that cannot be recovered. Lothian looks outward and inward, revealing the interconnected patterns between the human body, the natural world, and the communities we inhabit. While their subjects differ, both artists use layering, repetition, and tactile processes to reveal connections that might otherwise remain unseen. Together, their work reminds us that connection continuously shapes who we are and how we understand the world around us. Lothian and Hogan have recently completed Anchor Press, Paper & Print’s Emerging Artist Residency program. Residents receive 24/7 access to AP3’s printmaking studio, professional development opportunities, mentorship from artists at different stages of their careers, and the opportunity to present a culminating exhibition. The program provides emerging artists with not only the space and equipment to develop their practice, but also the relationships, experience, and professional tools needed to build a career beyond the classroom.
