Created and directed by Mr. Ja’Rahn Leveston and Mr. Greg Lathe, the musical showcases our students’ remarkable talents in drama, rap, song, and dance, while honoring the enduring legacy of Frederick Douglass and his wife, Anna Murray Douglass, and elevating their pivotal role in the foundation of America’s Civil Rights Movement.
We premiered it last year with the middle school students at Roosevelt. This time around, we’ve comprised a cast of MHSA students with our advanced acting students at Roosevelt. This one is for the ages!
