Raise a glass to Milwaukee Public Library with the release of Bücherwurm, a limited-edition German fest bier created in collaboration with Dead Bird Brewing Company and the Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library. Inspired by Milwaukee Public Library’s Special Collections and Billy the Bookworm, Bücherwurm brings a little library history off the shelves and into the taproom. The festivities kick off at 12 PM and will last until 4 PM. All-day activities include button-making and bookmark-making stations; photographs and other “Billy the Bookworm” items from our Special Collections; and a very special “Beer + Bite” session with Chef Sharrie Agee from 1-3 PM. All are welcome! The event is free, and a portion of all beer sales goes to the Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library. This is a fundraising event with the Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library, whose support helps strengthen Library programs and services throughout Milwaukee.
