Tosca
The story of a hot-blooded diva with more than a slight mean streak.  A chief of police who’s even meaner than she is.  A political prisoner.  And a painter who is to die for.  
Led by Metropolitan Opera conductor Steven White, the cast features soprano Christine Lyons as Tosca, tenor Dominic Armstrong as Cavaradossi, and baritone Andrew Manea as Scarpia.  
The opera will be performed in Italian with English supertitles and will be accompanied by orchestra.  
Maestro Steven White will give a pre-performance lecture at 6pm.  Join us afterwards for a champagne toast as Maryland Opera celebrates its first full opera!
