Calling all budding journalists! Finding Your Beat: An Intro to Journalism is led by journalist Donte Kirby. This class will offer an introduction to all the key elements of great reporting, including:
– Reporting and interviewing basics
– Crafting an article
– Turning ideas into articles
– How to write a pitch
– Pursuing a career freelance journalism
Students will also learn from inspiring guest speakers and get hands-on experience crafting articles from their own unique ideas, and even a chance to pitch to the CHARM Report, our student-run news website!
