Shriver Hall Concert Series presents Spanish cellist Pablo Ferrández, one of music’s fastest rising stars, hailed for his “superb technique and exhilarating musicality” (Los Angeles Times). Ferrández is joined by pianist Julio Elizalde, an artist of “compelling artistry and power” (Seattle Times). Expressive pieces inspired by the voice complement cello sonatas by Beethoven and Brahms: two major works with distinct styles yet a shared boldness and breadth of emotion.
