Are you on your gender transition journey or just exploring gender in your movement practice? Have gyms or fitness studios in the past promoted harsh environments or uncomfortably gendered spaces? Have you ever felt unsure on where to start when training day-to-day? If you said yes to any of these, I would love to help you out! We know that movement can be a powerful way to come home to yourself, but traditional gym culture often makes that feel impossible. Join us at Current Wellness for the Trans & NB Strength Series, where we reclaim the weights and move on our own terms. Let’s find strength and confidence in our bodies, together as a team! What we’ll do: Explore how movement promotes gender affirmation: We will look at how lifting can be a tool for cultivating a body of physical confidence and personal empowerment. Practice capacity and grounding: Learn to tune into your body’s needs, honor your boundaries, and find stability through intentional movement. Build your foundational “toolkit”: Build a personal toolkit of lifting mechanics and equipment knowledge so you feel self-assured and autonomous in your day-to-day practice. Connect with the community: Meet and move alongside other like-minded folks in the trans and non-binary community in a space that actually sees and supports you.
