This program honors Evelyn Pope by reading books.
Evelyn, a college librarian born in 1908 and died in 1995, loved a variety of books from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer to Shakespeare and James Baldwin. The program brings community members together monthly at the museum to discuss books, focusing on works by Black writers or featuring Black subjects, including fiction and non-fiction. Discussions will use questions to facilitate conversation.
